All students at Washington Elementary will develop an appreciation for academic learning and a persistent desire to achieve their personal best through a rigorous and balanced curriculum.
Dear Parents or Guardians:
Your child's safety is our utmost priority here at Washington Elementary. After reviewing the Parent Survey Needs Assessment that was sent out to all parents in May 2008, campus security and child safety was one of your top concerns.
I am asking you to help us implement our safety program for 2008-2009.
Before school starts:
*All students will be walking onto the campus through the main entrance on Pine St.
*The back gates will NO longer be open during morning arrival.
*Our Campus Security will monitor traffic until the bell rings.
*After the tardy bell, Campus Security will be stationed at the front door checking all who enter.
*All students and adults must check into the office and receive a pass.
During dismissal,
*Students will dismiss through the back and front gates.
*Teachers will walk students either to the back gates or the front gates.
Please help us reinforce our school safety rules.
Thank you
